Description
The Research Council of Norway (RCN) is the main public funding agency for research in Norway. It was established in 1993 and is under the authority of the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research.
The main goal of the RCN is to promote and support high-quality research in Norway. It does this by providing funding to research projects, coordinating research activities, and facilitating international research collaborations. The RCN also works to strengthen the dissemination of research results and to promote innovation through research.
